Always seated in the front of the class, Seamus is a likeable, outgoing, and talkative fifth grader. He is eager to answer questions and share his opinion on just about everything. Seamus is an only child, and his parents are both the children of Irish immigrants. They own a local Irish restaurant where Seamus and his cousins spend their weekends hanging out and helping. Seamus loves to learn about Ireland from his grandparents and shares their stories at school through class projects and language arts assignments. A straight “A” student, Seamus works hard to maintain perfect grades. He isn’t afraid to ask for help, seeks extra study time, and will often do all of the math problems, even if only the even ones are assigned. He dreams of being a scientist one day, preferably in the field of robotics. He prefers to improve other designs rather than create his own. His past teachers have found him entertaining and bright, although they do note that they sometimes need to redirect him if he gets off topic. Outside of school and family life, Seamus enjoys training his dog “Chewy” in agility challenges, completing Backyard Science tasks, and reading.
